Over the years Canyon Lake students have attended various schools within the Lake Elsinore school district. For information on current or future boundaries for Canyon Lake students in any of the various age or grade levels, call the school district directly (see link above for further information). Among the schools which are either now attended by Canyon Lake residents, or which have in the past been attended, are: Lake Elsinore High School, Temescal High School, Tuscany Hills Elementary, Railroad Canyon Elementary, Canyon Lake Elementary, Cottonwood Canyon, Elsinore Middle, Terra Cotta Elementary. Canyon Lake is in the Mt. San Jacinto College district. The college district's local campus is in Menifee. The closest campus of the University of California system is in Riverside.
